A servant leader is a person who has a clear vision, who acknowledges that for the dream to be obtained he or she needs the help of others, and that the dream has to be beneficial to others.
The servant leader is very aware that others have to attain their own personal goals while together they strive towards achieving their dreams and helping others in the process. A servant leader leads with the eagerness to succeed in the service of others and not at the expense of others.
Servant leadership therefore requires the intrinsic use of character. Character –is doing the right thing because it is the right thing to do –whether the whole world is watching or no one ever knows.
