I was watching some snippets on YouTube yesterday and can across this song by Garth Brokks
If tomorrow never comes
Over these long weekends and especially if it is raining – there is time to ponder on our life and our loved ones.
- What am I doing? Why am I doing it?
- What do the one’s I love do? What are they thinking? What are they expecting of me?
- Do they know how much I care? Do I show them how much I care?
- How important are they in my life? Is my life balanced enough between business focus, general activities, physical and emotional health and my family/fun/friendship time?
- If tomorrow never comes – will they know how important they are to me? Will they remember the laughter, the fun and how good I made them feel?
- Will I have shown them many, many HOLY MOMENTS? Have I been kind, caring, patient, empathetic, honest?
- Because Holy Moments look good on me and they are felt by those we love.
- Our loved ones remember – HOLY MOMENTS – they look good on us and feel good to them.
Take a few moments to ponder on the lyrics of the song and add the appropriate pronoun to the underlined areas.
Sometimes late at night
I lie awake and watch __ sleeping
___ lost in peaceful dreams
So I turn out the lights and lay there in the dark
And the thought crosses my mind
If I never wake in the morning
Would she ever doubt the way I feel
About ___ in my heart
If tomorrow never comes
Will ___ know how much I loved ____
Did I try in every way to show ___ every day
That ___ my only one
And if my time on earth were through
And ___ must face this world without me
Is the love I gave ___ in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes
‘Cause I’ve lost love ones in my life
Who never knew how much I loved them
Now I live with the regret
That my true feelings for them never were revealed
So I made a promise to myself
To say each day how much ___ means to me…
If tomorrow never comes!!!!
